Admission requirement guidelines
for candidate self-evaluation:

Knowledge of English:

An English placement exam is given to all non-native speakers of English before they enroll for their first MBA courses. Based upon the results, participants may be required to take and successfully complete English as a Foreign Language (EFL) courses, while at the same time beginning their MBA studies. A participant with particularly weak English language skills may be required to complete an EFL course before enrolling in MBA courses.

Academic Ability:

Applicants are required to have an American Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) or its equivalent. In France this would correspond to a BAC+3, and in Germany and Switzerland to a Universitäts- oder
Fachhochschul-Abschluss. Those who have worked full-time should submit a curriculum vitae (résumé) containing the names and addresses of their employers, dates of employment, job titles, and a short description of duties.

Basic Business Administration Knowledge:

Several courses of the MBA program would be difficult to follow without a basic knowledge of accounting, economics, statistics and business law. Upon receipt of
the applicant ’s university transcripts, SIU staff members in Strasbourg will advise candidates individually about any preparatory activities that may be necessary. Participants can complete any necessary preparatory work while at the same time beginning their MBA core courses.

Business Experience:
Business experience is not required, however, a minimum of two years of professional or business experience is strongly recommended. Participants with such experience will have a better perception of the material covered in the MBA program. They will also be able to make more contributions to group discussion based on their life and work experience.
